I'm looking for suggestions regarding Calthraxus. We have a party around level 9, so using a CR 14 black dragon will be tough. What I'm planning on
doing is this: In Bard's Gate, a player wants to get a particular enhancement to his weapon (after having robbed the Vault of Larin Karr and before going
to explore the Empire of the Ghouls) - but nobody in town can do it. Via Wareth Drumstrike who runs the Iron Standard and Gruden Greybeard, high priest of the
Temple of Dwerfater I'll send them to Silverhelm, where they'll ask for something in the possession of Calthraxus - or for his head.
Ideally the lair of Calthraxus and his orcs and trolls would take us maybe four or five encounters. Any cool ideas I might reuse? I'm looking at the Black Lake map in Forge of Fury for the final fight with the dragon, and at the entrance including the rope bridge from the same module. I'm not sure what kind of interesting setup I should do with around 40 black orcs and some trolls (troll barbarians?).
