I would take all my skill points in Survival in order to meet the prerequisite and you would alter the Travel domain spells for Level 5 & 7 to spells you found acceptable and thematic to the character. Posts: 12033 Aug 16 10 8:09 PM Vampire Scion Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Some feat suggestions for Roongshri: Coordinated Shot - reduces cover bonuses to AC from +4 to +2 vs your attacks. Goes with PBS and Precise Shot. If you do this or any other archery-themed feat, though, you should really consider rebuiding Roong's role to more of a ranged attacker, like Blodwyn. Skill Focus (Concentration) or Combat Casting - Help improve your abysmal Concentration check, a skill which should be a priority for you as a combat caster Augment Healing - We've seen how useful it is for Ossic to heal an additional +2 hp/spell level with curative spells. Travel Devotion - In Complete Champion. 1/day as swift action for one minute, you may move up to your speed as a swift action each round. You can burn turn attempts to gain additional uses (2 turn attempts spent = 1 additional use). Water Devotion - Also in Complete Champion. 1/day as standard action, summon water elemental from contents of full waterskin poured on ground. Size depends on character level (Lvl 1-5 small, 6-10 medium, 11-15 large, etc.). Again, you can use this feat additional times each day by spending 1 turn attempt to gain 1 added use. Scribe Scroll - Imagine how handy it would be to have a bunch of backup scrolls of align weapon, dimensional anchor, remove fear, delay poison, etc. on hand when you need them, so you can focus your memorized spells on more combat-oriented things. You can make them at half market price, and then sell some to Ossic to recoup expenses. All are decent options. I'd probably lean toward Travel Devotion or Scribe Scroll. Combat Casting is tempting, but if you start pouring all your ranks into that skill in the coming levels, hopefully you can deal with this issue eventually. Water Devotion is interesting, and you get a number of uses of it, but keep in mind the critter will be underpowered for what we're likely to face, so it's more of a utility spell, or to add a flank buddy, etc. The Coordinated Shot feat or similar I put on because you have two other archery feats, but you never really do any archery, and with Blodwyn doing most of the bow-work, putting more feats here might be a bad idea. Maybe Ken would even let you retrain one for something more useful to your character as he is actually played.

PB and PS add/remove penalties for shooting into melee sufficiently, so I don't think I will keep going with that. Neither do I think I will remove them with retraining. I was going to put all my skill ranks into Concentration, but I have to put all skill ranks this level into Survival to meet the Prc prerequisites per the deal Ken made. I will go concentration from here on out. Combat Casting or Skill Focus: Concentration would be good choices. Roong took Aquan as a language and has the Water Domain, so Water Devotion is interesting. It is, however, weak as you indicate. Scribe Scroll is probably a good bet. I was also thinking of Spell Penatration to get past SR. We all suffered aginst the outsiders' SR. Games I am... Usually I'd hold off on that until L12, but we seem to be running into more things with it as you say, so taking it at L9 is not a bad option. Consider how often you'll be casting spells at enemies that allow SR though. It's easy for a cleric to minimize the need for this feat by focusing on buff spells, battlefield control spells and the like. That said, we did have some trouble with those dimensional anchor spells. One option at 11th level is Forbiddance. It costs gold and takes time to cast, but it creates a zone where teleport effects fail automatically. Note that SR applies to the damage for entering the area, not the teleportation effect. It also prevents summoning spells, including demons summoning buddies to help out. It is dispellable, but only by creatures of higher level than the caster level of the spell cast. (Thus it would help if the caster could in some way augment his effective caster level when using this spell.) Forbiddance would be useful in securing a base of operations or the like from planar intrusion. Alternately, if exploring an area with lots of demons, it could create a "safe zone" where the demons would have a hard time ambushing the group. (Augmented with the Rapid Spell feat as a Clr7 spell, it would have a casting time of 1 round, and could even be used in battle conditions in the enemy's base of operations!) There's a wizard spell called Anticipate Teleportation (level 3) in the Spell Compendium, along with a higher-level more powerful version, but since our arcane caster is a sorcerer, I would not recommend it until we are significantly higher level. In any event, it only works on creatures teleporting into the area, not teleporting out. Speaking of dimensional anchor, keep in mind that while the demons may be able to SR them, you can always cast it on allies, too, to prevent them from being abducted. Since only the bar-lgura (demon apes) have that ability, though, I wouldn't use that tactic unless we face more of them.

My Prc gives me access to the Travel domain. That gives me limited access to Freedom of movement as a supernatural power on myself. I also changed up my spells a bit. At 4th Lvl I took freedom of Movement to help allies and Dimensional Anchor to impede foes. Games I am... This feat increases your caster level by +4, not to exceed your HD or +2 CL in your case. This right there is equal to spell penetration. You also add 2 CLs to all your spells, +2 hps to higher lvl cures, +2d6 to flame strike, longer durations etc. As yet a third bonus, Roongshri could enchant +4 items at lvl 12, instead of lvl 14. All you need is 4 ranks in spellcraft! So start studying up
