Posts: 692 Feb 23 07 11:24 AM Vampire Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Tags : None The NPCs in the CSIO are described only in the broad and shallow; would anyone be interested in a series of books or PDFs that describe the characters in detail, including histories, friends, enemies, plots, and so forth? It would follow in the same vein as the original classic Fantastic Personalities book. It would also expand on the number of detailed characters from the CSIO, and eventually expand beyond the CSIO to other cities and regions. Would you buy a print version of such a product? Or is thing something that would be better as a PDF?

In spite of Melan's comment, I would start with the CSIO and see what kind or reception it gets. Throw in Count Kaledric, the Coordinator, who got cut from the box set material. I always wanted to know more about that character. I would focus on regions rather than skip around all over the maps.

Posts: 1921 Mar 29 07 6:56 AM Vampire Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	In my humble opinion, the more narrowly defined the NPC's are, the more difficult they are to adjudicate in actual play. The broad and shallow approach used in the current version allows the Judge to give the NPC's backgrounds and schemes at the spur of the moment, based on the current situation. If these were pre-defined, the Judge would have to figure out how the PC's factored into the NPC's schemes and plans, and the answer would often be "they don't", leaving potential adventures and adversaries on the cutting room floor.

Expanding it from the current one that is in the CSIO to a statblock and a paragraph. If you kept to that format then added value can be offered over what was in CSIO but not so much that your drowning in the details.
