If all goes as planned, I will be running my players through Durgam's folly in a month or so. I am looking forward a great deal to it.
Before they go through SODF, they need to gain a level. Players from the Swords of the Northlands game -- please don't read! Spoilers lurk below!

The party currently consists of a 4th level wizard, a 4th level fighter, a 3rd level cleric, a 3rd level bard and a 4th level monk. They were accompanied by a halfling thief but he bit the dust last session... it remains to be seen whether the thief will be raised or replaced.

Providing the party accepts a job from a local npc nobleman next session, I will be running them through The Toad God's Treasure and estimate that will take them 2-3 sessions for them to complete (Since Toad God's Treasure is not a Necromancer adventure, I won't discuss it here).

I'm planning to replace Trina with an NPC from my campaign (an npc wizard of similar ability). I like weaving in an old familiar face --- the NPC was a former associate of the party who left after a dispute over some treasure. I like having an NPC that the party might feel they can't trust 100% since they kind of screwed him over in the treasure division previously. Since it's been a while since they have seen him, I'm planning to have him tell them that he has been hired by Theodocious to escort the wagons full of components from a dwarven city in the mountains to the south (where the clockwork parts were manufactured) to Theodocius's workshop North of their current location. Although the NPC does have a beef with them, I think he will also enjoy being in charge of them for a change and certainly knows about their talents. The rest of the guards and caravan will remain much the same... although I'm considering beefing up Thevik and Ulli a little since the party is a little weak as far as swordarms go... they have 1 fighter who is a real killing machine -- the monk has a good attack but a rather poor AC and the cleric and bard are pretty poor fighters.

I am planning to use the secret tunnel from the option pack, but not the compass/flashlights. Only Thevik and Ulli know about the tunnel and won't mention it until they reach the fort and realize it is occupied by ogres. If the PCs fail to keep Thevik and Ulli alive, the players won't know about it.

I also think Gorrush Kar, the Tiefling, is a little weak. Im thinking I'll give him another level in each class (sorcerer and fighter). Since he won't be helping the party 100% (only helping them as much as it suits him), I don't feel that giving him a little more oompf is unbalancing --- I want him to be able to stay alive long enough to abscond with the brain gear while the party fights the golems.
