There should be another thread around here where Bill gave a short update on the status of Sword of Air. I'll see if I can find it...

Don't announce a product unless you have its release date nailed down. This caused a problem with Bard's Gate and Rappan Athuk 2 and 3 as well--to such an extent that my gaming store had a pretty bad attitude about NG releases. This was mentioned on the board some months ago, and since March or April, when NG became more conservative with their release announcements, they've hit pretty much every deadline they have announced. The reason they're not announcing Bard's Gate or Sword of Air right now is because, frankly, they're too busy with another project (the Judges Guild Wilderlands) which they more or less HAVE announced. Once they've got that puppy whipped, they'll turn back to some of the other projects they've let slide. One thing both Bard's Gate and Sword of Air have in common, by the way, is that they are/were personal projects of the demon lords themselves. Bard's Gate is being farmed out, last I heard, but I doubt Sword of Air will be. Bottom line: I wouldn't expect Bard's Gate until at least next April or May, and Sword of Air not until next summer at the very least. Where's the NG Ranger? Find it and other downloads at Bloodfeaster's Crypt (you'll need a free Hotmail account to access it.)

Posts: 2491 Nov 16 02 11:40 AM Demon Lord Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	somewhat correct...the problem is that I have to write the rest of SOA, and Clark and Casey have to finish Bard's Gate. We are the guys (w/ Scott and Kevin) who also have to read/edit/develop everything...hence, our own stuff is somewhat delayed. JG has pretty much eaten Scott, me and Casey for the past 3 months...and I think Clark's backlog on final edits is down to 4 modules...oh yeah, +Grimtooths and the Gazetteer. No worries, these will happen; just think we'll have to change the name to the "Temple of Elemental Bard's Gate" or something like that... Believe it or not, BG is (mostly) written. SOA is about half written too. It just takes a long time to finish these when the primary authors are the bottlenmecks in the production process for everything....ok; i have a plan...news later
