It has some Harryhousen homage material. Oh, and those of us who live near artsy cinemas can see the English-language version of Hiyao Miyazaki's new film, Spirited Away. Purportedly better than his Princess Monokoe (which I found decent, despite my low tolerance for anime).

I could swear you guys had more posts than Zombies. Crouching Tiger is very reminiscent of D&D in some ways. I started a thread on that a week or so ago. And, in EGG's defense, his work toward a D&D movie happened over twenty years ago, and probably long since fell forever into the black hole which is Hollywood development. The recent D&D travesty had no relation to Gygax or the old D&D Entertainment Co. (which produced the D&D cartoon).

Willem Dafoe plays a homosexual detective and billy connolly is a nutted out hitman, then theres the two brothers.

And I've read lots of comic books (lots of the same ones, too) myself. But his films are mostly juvenile, and they're most juvenile precisely when Smith tries to be profound. Anyway, what'd you think were some of the good points in Dogma?
