Holy cow. Been a while since I was a total Lips-head, but I will definitely be getting this.

Farm by Dinosaur Jr. What a great album. The world is definitely a better place when J Mascis is more involved with it. This album has the original members on
it, too.

Hiroshima "Obon". Fusion jazz that incorporates Japanese influences and instruments. I just picked this up a couple days ago. It's a group
I've been very interested in, and I'm happy to say that I'm enjoying their music just as much as I thought I would. Enough that I want to check
out more of Hiroshima's stuff.
Is that a new Dinosaur Jr. album, Mr. Frau Blucher? I have a couple of their old ones (Green Mind and Where Ya Been?) and quite enjoy them. |

M83 - "Saturdays = Youth" awesome album, very "80's" sounding, like a John Hughes film in your
head!

Steely Dan ... all of 'em (except Gaucho). Listening particularly for killer guitar solos. The one on Haitian Divorce is pretty awesome, IMO.

That Obon sounds pretty interesting. I'll have to check them out.
And yeah, Farm is a new one. Good stuff. But me? It's some heavy metal with Black Fire Upon Us by Dethkok off of Deathalbum II. I know they're a spoof band and all but it's good heavy metal. e-bay Sales Updated 3/24/2009: , Miniatures, Ultramodern Firearms, The Hunt d20 setting, Legends of Excalibur d20 setting, Legends of the Samurai d20 setting, Midnight books, 4e Points of Light, and more! |

Yeah, Sen, as Joe said, Farm is new.
Man, the Lips and Dinosaur Jr have new music. All we need is the Pumpkins to put out a new album, and it would be the holy trinity of...something or other. Right now listening to Rubber Factory by the Black Keys. They throw down. Baby it ain't me Grown so ugly...

beatles - white album. I picked up some of the new remasters. I hadn't listened to the fab4 seriously in something like 25 years, so it's been fun. And
I don't think I ever owned the White Album BitD

R.E.M. "Document." These guys put out so many great albums, but then in the late 90's seemed to just completely lose their inspiration. At one
time it seemed like they could come up with a strong melody without problem, and now it seems to be a real struggle for them. At least I have a bunch of good
music thanks to their older catalog.

Django Reinhardt "Djangology". Picked this up while I did a mini-cd buying spree at a Barnes & Noble's a couple of weeks ago. It was so
cool being in a store that has a good selection of music again. Now that Best Buy has hacked their selection down to almost nothing I don't have any good
places to buy music locally anymore.

Sonic Youth "Bad Moon Rising". Getting into the Halloween music, and this is probably my top choice. Their album "Evol" is also quite
dark and spooky sounding overall and is a good runner up. Maybe I'll listen to Godsmack or Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" next.
