Vast, Here, off of Visual Audio Sensory Theater. My g/f liked the video Pretty When You Cry so I bought the music for her off the old iTunes.

I'm listening to the first cd from the Return of the King: The Complete Recordings boxed set. It has all of the music from the movie, and is 4 cds plus a
dvd of the soundtrack. What can I say, I really like Howard Shore's compositions for the LotR films, and didn't want the condensed version for Return
of the King.

Howard Shore's "Return of the King" score, the first cd. It's still in my cd player. It's kinda interesting how all of the most popular
new works of classical music are now from films.

Fu(ked Up, "The Chemistry of Common Life". Epic Punk? Sounds like an oxymoron, but somehow they pull it off.

Although this album isn't anything spectacular, I like to listen to it every once in a while. Good and solid rock music. |

Jill Scott "Live in Paris", the cd. The more I listen to this, the more impressed I am. The dvd that came with it is even better. Jill has to be
one of our greatest singers working in pop music (i.e. rock, r&b, pure pop, etc). Not only does she have a good range, but she also has excellent control,
plus her voice is very expressive and soulful. The only other lady out there that I can think of off-hand who is in the same league is Annie Lennox.

iTunes is on shuffle, and it's currently CCR's Born On The Bayou which happens to be my favorite song by them.

Crystal Method "Tweekend". I'm slowly but surely getting caught up in listening to my recent purchases. I really dig this so far. I remember
when it came out it got a mediocre review in Rolling Stone, but the gist of the criticism was that it was a big beat cd, a sound in dance/electronica music
that was sooo 3 months ago.
But since I really like "big beat" artists such as Chemical Brothers, Fat Boy Slim, and the Crystal Method, I am quite enjoying this.

Is that what groups like Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method and others are called? Never knew that. I'm kinda ignorant in the various terminologies. I'm
like one of those rustic art critics. I know what I like when I hear it.
Now it's the Weepies off of Hideaway, Little Bird. I've got to give this release a few more listens. It's not bad but not catching me. However ever time I listen to it I'm busy doing numerous other things so I'm not giving it the attention it deserves. e-bay Sales Updated 3/24/2009: , Miniatures, Ultramodern Firearms, The Hunt d20 setting, Legends of Excalibur d20 setting, Legends of the Samurai d20 setting, Midnight books, 4e Points of Light, and more! |

Sonic Youth's cover of Dylan's "I'm not there"
also some other SY covers: "Superstar" (Carpenters), "Ca plane pour moi" (Plastic Bertrand). actually, it's been a Itunes playlist of covers this morning. |

Joe, I'm not an expert on the electronic/techno/dance music scene either, but that's how those groups were referred to in some Rolling Stone
magazine reviews.

STP - Purple. I guess I'm old, 'cause this still seems 'new' or 'modern' to me ... until I realize it's 15 years old. sigh.
