Yay!(except for the weekend) Thusly I shall promise to make a serious effort to get my drafting of the outter walls and the man entrance fortress done, as well as correcting strange errors in my surface of the city proper. Perhaps by the end of the weekend I can locate an appropriate file posting website and find ways to convert my CAD drawings to pictures viewable by all. Question for you Pale (and any other Apple users): what format is best to transfer pictures back and forth from apple compatible to PC (microsoft windows compatible)?

I have not yet attempted to add roads or much in the way of detail in the city itself. As my home computer does not have more than the standard Adobe Acrobat Reader, I cannot create pdf files. I was able to create a jpg. Now all I need is a place to post it. Syko, if you are offering, I will take you up on it. Just let me know what the address of your site is and how to post to it. Thanks!

I was laid off from work last week and I am not real sure when I can get this completed to my satisfaction. Any access to creating pdfs went with the job I had. I have a lot of work to do on this but I am feeling the pull of needing to find another career so I can keep a roof over my head. Also my dark knight in his cloak of shadow with the web site to post upon seems to have vanished like... well... a shadow.

Its nothing fancy or extravagant. You would have to email your files to me and I would then have to put them on the site. Since I have the site and the majority of it is un-used, I figure hosting other peoples' stuff is a way for me to contribute. Anyways.... here it is. I've had the site up for a couple years on tripod.com but got tired of the banners and pop-ups so I recently moved it to my "paid for" site. This site has 10 Gigs of space, of which I'm only currently using 23 MB so there's plenty of room. Posts: 576 Mar 31 11 8:47 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	By the way, I do have a Landdesktop 3 CAD file of the city. I tried to add elevations to it. But I am not happy with what I see. There is not enough information as to the heights of the upper terrace where the temple is suppose to be. I had to make guesses on that and on the height of the mountain/cliff behind. I am not happy with the layout however. For the Tower of Weeping Sores/Black Gate I have rendered using extrude in 3d. Unfortunately I am not familiar enough with that part of CAD to make the faces look solid, so at this point they look like wire structures. Top down the image looks pretty good. I added contours, but again I had to guess at the relative rise between the tiers of the city and may have guessed wrong. I tried a 3d projection of the outer wall as it rises up towards the cliffs at the back nearest the mountain. But I haven't yet tried to extrude that portion of the wall. I can make a snap shot of any angle view in the city and create a jpeg of it. But parts looked funny to me which tells me I didn't guess correctly on elevations of certain areas, particularly where the upper tier and temple at the top meet the cliff/mountain face behind. Note: Russell Akred on the Paizo forums has done a Sketchup of the Black Gate which looks pretty good. So some of you may want to mosey on over there to snag that for your game.
