I remember when I could not wait to get to the Necro site and see what news on upcoming products had been posted. I remember how excited I was to get my hands on Lost City of Barakus and Vault of Larin Karr and I would spend hours reading through them, just soaking in the gaming goodness. I made it a mission to own every adventure that Necro put on the shelves and I still love reading through them, the artwork and story were TOP notch. They were just PACKED FULL of content. I guess as I get older I long for the way things used to be at times, waxing nostalgic and all that stuff. goes into the gaming room and starts rolling some dice and reading Crucible of Freya

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety. Its more like arguing with family. Many times I don't agree with others (nor they with me), and sometimes the discussion may become heated (for this place) about 3E or 4E or whatever, but people get over it very quickly. I thinks that because regardless of preferred edition, we all like and want to see more Necro products and have a commonality in our style of gaming (1E feel or whatever the hell ya wanna call it). Thats my feeling anyway. It is def sad though to see the SPAM just sitting around and little input from the Necro crew (Clark or otherwise). It hs changed so much since the early days on the WW boards, and then into Necro's own boards and explosion of poularity, and then into the early 3.5 days (about when I stopped visiting) I visit much more than I post these days . Necro itself is pretty much dead, as far as I can tell. But I'll still keep coming here as long as there are cool folks who hang out here. Still a great (though small) community. I still get solid feedback on rules and rpg products here on the boards. And I love finding out about good music from my fellow Necroboarders.

No. I luh-uh-uh-uh-uuhhhhve the Necro products. I wish there was more here. Same with a few other publishers. I found them too late in the game (Sinister Adventures seems defunct, Paradigm concepts/Living Arcanis is fizzled, Monte's done except for dungeon a day, etc.). I wish my interest had been about two years (or more) ahead of its time. <SIGH>

I think a lot of people are underestimating the popularity of Paizo, and the future of Pathfinder. Its simple really. Paizo is putting out top notch product. Arguably the best in the industry. People recognize and respond to that. Those who go to their message boards also know how responsive they are to their customers. Two of the biggest keys to business success. The third is a solid customer base, and I think that not only do they have one, but that it is much bigger than many seem to believe. ]Heck, I don't play PAthfinder, I have no intention of playing PF, but I buy and subscribe simply because of how good the content is, including the upcoming PF rule book, I have it on pre order already, and even subscribed. All simply for reasons very similar to why I like Necromancer. I know I am going to love the content, even if I never use it. Its simply worth reading, so I buy it. I know of several other gamers like me, they don't play PF, but DANG! gthe quality is so good, you just gotta buy it! So I hope Clark makes several PF products happen, because I think that not only will Clark be pleasantly surprised, it will get him fired up for making even more happen.

True, but as you say, few people actually posting. I suspect those haunting the forum hope one day to see something happening. It is hopping over at Paizo, and the discussion is not all about their products however, it does change things dramatically. NG has a few really good starts out there prior to the 4e mascre that just fizzled. Not due to lack of interest....but lack of support. I look at it like this; GenCon will measure the success of Pathfinder. Then NG will release PF RPG and 3.5 will live on here or it will continue slowly drying up. They are making a good game and Paizo continues to be the standard-bearer for quality - not to mention a game company that people seem to want to support. (Heck, even those that have no intention of every playing the Pathfinder RPG seem to be interested.) "By gamers for gamers" - ya know? (Just like Necro)

Many such forms do, so for example if I come to the site 5 times in one day which does happen sometimes I might count for 5 of those number. So if you log on from both home and work it would count twice, but multiple log-ons from home would not. I suppose if you were on a system that used dynamic DNS assignments, you might get multiple counts from the same computer. Games I am...
