I've been a moderator for a few areas of the forum for a long time, but still no global moderation powers.
(i.e., I can delete spam posts in areas like the Adventures and Living Dungeon sections, but not others)

I think it is because of the royalties on the songs. The series was released on DVD, but all the songs (except the opening and closing) were redone as they
could not afford to pay the royalties on all the music. I imagine broadcasting the episodes entails a similar royalties payment, but i could be wrong.
I saw a few episodes from the first season on DVD, and the redone tunes did not stand out badly; still such a great show. But I don't know if I'll be able to watch the episode where Les goes out with Jennifer. That scene with him trying on the tupee while Foreigner's Hot Blooded blares in the background just wouldn't be the same with any other music behind it.
