I do believe that dwarves would be puritanically prudish. Although, I did see a picture of a dwarf maiden pursuing an interracial relationship with a human.

You should do a Swimsuit Issue, with dwarves. And hot gnomish chicks. Oh, and half-orcs. What other humanoid races are traditionally not considered
'sexy'? Hill giants? Obviously they aren't humanoid, but from afar they would. And companion pieces by TheRavyn for side by side comparison.

hmmm, well, I was just going to keep quiet, but......
I think the other threads with the fantasy 3d art were.....ok. they had some nice shots, 3d art not being my fav, but whatever. this thread is crap. Yes, we know you can do some nice work, but this is just selling 3d sex for shock value. If you were a real artist, you wouldnt stoop to this. Honestly, you are, as much as I hate to admit it publicly, better than this display. Just my 2 cents. Say what you will. For those of you who love this stuff, good on ya, and enjoy. Art appeals to many people. Im just not one of them there that takes a shine to this.

Yes, I am. I am better. Yes, you do have the right to preach to me that I can do better. That I'm glamourizing the body, or using the models on the cheep.
Or that I'm creating art for shock value. And yes, I do see your point of view. I do see your view of these pinups as lurid and lewd. And I fully agree, by
your standards I can do better. Now, be willing to see mine. I did the pinup series as a way to give tribute to summer, so at first I wanted to know what my
elf would look like in a bikini so I put her in one. And it's been fun doing the series. It's summer now, and sometimes people need to be reminded that
there is something else besides illustrating battles and powerful vistas.
At other times, I do get bored doing serious pieces. As it is mid-summer, it's time to think of something lighthearted. Dragons, dungeons, scenes in taverns, new races, and powerful battles between orcs and men have to take a backseat. That is the purpose of pinups. Lightheartedness, its a time of joy, its a time of fun. It's time to enjoy the beauty of the human body. I feel its time to enjoy the human body as a thing of beauty, not a thing to be ashamed of. So you are correct Skeet, from your point of view. You were right to censure me. However, I really don't have to back down. After all, you said yourself that 3D art is not your favorite. I don't do 3D art to impress you specifically. I mean, if I were to do art to impress you, I would be rendering all of these and then drawing them in pencil, pen, and adding color by way of colored pencil or other traditional media. To me this is practice, practice in improving what I know about lighting. Besides, I don't like depicting violence. Some artists would do the most pornographic of violent scenes. Bloody battles full of gushing blood and guts and won't even do a fine art or simple nude image. Sure, you can judge me to your standards. Separate yourself from me, say you're better than I. But please, look at it from my point of view, and my side and soften your heart. It is the season to enjoy the summer and to reflect that through art. |

I don't have a problem with the thread. Though like Skeet I am not a big 3D art fan as far as personal tastes go.
And lets be honest sex does sale, sexuality is and always will be popular. Honestly I never understood why so many people make a big deal out of something most of us do and we are geneticly designed to do to continue our species. It boggles the mind. Least Elton hasn't started doing graphic tentacle porn ... yet.
