You'd have to give up Running and Thrown Weapons. You've used 4 of 8 IQ points. Then, when you buy your IQ up to 9 with XP, you could buy Warrior (2). Now you've used 6 of 9 IQ points. Then, when you buy your ST up to 16 with XP, you could buy Veteran (3). Now you've used 9 of 9 IQ points.

The Running Talent will raise Frik to MA 12 (or MA 10 if he wears the byrny chain) and raise Tenh to MA 8, is that correct?

I'll weigh the advantages and disadvantages of this later. Never thought myself to be the armor wearing type, but these dog size rodents are giving me pause to reconsider. Any suggestions from my compatriots as to which spell I should drop, so that I can take the literacy talent? If I choose this option that Sarge has offered, I can spend my next point on DX rather than IQ, which would make the Gutter Mage a bit better in battle. Grint's spells are listed in his character sheet on page one of this thread. Games I am... Believe it or not, I might drop Staff. Grint can use a basic club for the same damage (1d6). The advantage of the staff over the club, though, is you can keep the staff readied while casting spells. A readied club would require you to cast one-handed, which you can only do at IQ -2 (spells of IQ 12 or less). Grint doesn't seem to fight very often, so I'm not sure how important it is to have a readied staff in hand.

Literate, as he is, Grint is able to quickly ascertain that the group has arrived at the crossroads (if you can call this a road) between the sewers running roughly under Silver Street and Regal Street. In order to reach the crypt, they will have to continue south under Regal street, passing two smaller junctions, and then turn east down the sewer running under the Street of Shadows.

Torrents no longer plummet from the storm drains, and water no longer drips from the roof of the brick tunnel. The sewer's current, however, remains strong.

Well, computer-wise, that is. Borann will increase his ST to 12. He will claim the Byrny broadsword, since noone else has. His talents are Axe/mace (2), Sword (2), Knife (1), Swimming (1), and Shield (1), which leaves him with one left over. Hoke takes Bow (2), Polearms (2), Naginata (1), Knife (1), and Boating (1) from his time working on the dock, which also leaves him with one left over. Borann's eye gleams as he inspects the fine blade. Been a while since I slung a blade.
