However with the announcement that the monk is in PHB 3 Ki seems very likely. Also given that Arcane Divine Martial and Primal already have a good number of classes each it seems as though two new power sources would fit in the book easily. Nym,

In theory, you could get Psionicist, Psychic Blade, and Monk right there. And maybe...a stretch, but the Illusionist? I've had a suspicion that psionics would return since reading in Open Grave that "some undead continue to exist due to psionic power." Could be just a random throw-away, but maybe not. I think that psionics could do well in the current powers framework. 3e tried too hard to make it something different from magic, and ended up encumbering the game with yet another system. Assassin core would be nice, too.

Posts: 1274 Mar 31 09 10:22 AM Vampire Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Illusionist was hinted at being a Shadow power. This, I believe, would be the best edition ever to add in psionics. With each class having it's own power list and powers targeting defenses all a class needs to be pionic is mostly cosmetic and not new rules. Also you may find this link interesting. The Ki Striker (Monk), Psionic Controller or Leader (Psion), Psionic Striker (Soulknife), and a Psionic Defender (Psychic Warrior). Unlike multiclassing in which you dip your toes in a 2nd class hybrid characters are really half and half. They start out at first level with some (but not all) abilities from both classes they choose. There is going to be a 2nd playtest article for hybrid characters in Dragon tomorrow.
