Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
Yay - the did finally take 4 points (and 5 of 6 over the last 3 games).  Ottawa seems to be coming back to earth too which helps.  The schedule does somewhat favor the B's but the way this team has played this year and their Jekyll...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
Big 2 W's this weekend! We outplayed the Rangers, even after Rask went out. Carolina game wasn't as good from what I could see (was at birthday party with Duke-Gonzaga on tv, so didn't see much). It was the type of game they'd find a way...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
I'd agree about the Soderberg/Loui thing up to about 2/3rds of the season.  I'm not sure I'd agree now as Soderberg has basically gone flat within the last 25 games or so.  It may be time to shake him up.  That said, the B's played a...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
Soderberg has had chemistry with Loui more than anymore, and has had chemistry with RSmith on PP2, so I'd like to see how that unit performs as a line. It was the plan originally last year, but RSmith got bumped up to 2nd line. Looks...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
Hey dav - yes indeed. It's curious to see Krejci as a winger. I think I'd have put him as the "3rd line" center between Louie and whoever and move the "one eye Swede" down to center the 4th line (putting Campbell on the 9th floor) but...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
It's interesting to see some of the line combo's in practice, because it looks like they may start Krejci as the RW with Bergeron and Marchand, leave Lucic with Pastrnak and Spooner, and play RSmith on his normal left side with Soderberg...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
Looks like the B's decided to lay another egg. It's almost to the point where it may be easier if they didn't make the playoffs. That way, my aggravation with this team will come to a halt. They just aren't playing well defensively...

Big game tonight against the Hamburglar (hopefully we won't be Grimace-ing after the game with pucks that just missed going in). Buffalo game was dominated by us except for putting the puck in the net. Lindback seems to have learned how...

Dax, yeah, the Pens have been under the radar since they started going south after Christmas. They finally started getting better in February, but definitely other teams are making more noise lately. Sid was slumping when the team was,...

I like those lines dav.  Although I think I'd like to see Smith and Pastrnak flip flopped.  It's also tough taking Pastrnak off a line with Spooner.  Maybe keep them together as there's definitely some chemistry there.  Mr. Frau,...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
Hey guys, The B's are definitely on a roll again. Tomorrow should be an interesting game. The Pens are getting better D overall, but the lack of consistency that has plagued them all year is something they just can't shake. getting up...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
Talbotmania continues! What a weird game last night. Thought we outplayed TB the first period by a fair amount, and were outplayed through the end of regulation. The 3x3 in OT seems like a good recipe to avoid the shootouts as much as...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
B's on a bit of a run now which is good to see. Rask has been a beast in goal as of late. The addition of Spooner and Talbot seems to have sparked the B's also. I wonder what happens when Krejeci (and then Connolly) come back from...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
Definitely liked what I saw from Talbot and the 4th line. Though I'd rather see Ferlin than Campbell but with Claude, that will never happen. I thought overall the B's played well this weekend. Marchmont may have saved the weekend on...

Kick off the Talbot-mania! Big 2 W's this weekend, and the 4th line looks its best in the past 2 years. Svedberg looked shaky, but the B's team play was pretty decent. First 2 Detroit goals were real softies. Other goal was probably a...

Hey Dav, You saw an entertaining game. I agree the B's should have won that game last night. If Louie could've buried that shot with 3/4 of the net open, they would've won. Once it went to the shootout, I knew they were toast. They...

Yeah - the Boychuk thing was quite the fiasco. He does it a couple of days before the start of the season which seemed to 'gut punch' the team. In addition, if he held on to him and traded him at the deadline, he'd have gotten a lot...

I like Mad Max. I think he'll help this team a lot actually. Hopefully Claude plays him (instead of Campbell). Dav - that's a lot of sweaters!! I will have to say, the B's could use Ference right now. : P Hopefully the B's put...
