Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
The refs were terrible. Either call it one way or the other. They were letting things go all night and then to call that on Moore was terrible. They should have evened that up for embellishment for Pete's sake if they are going to...

Was at Bruins viewing party in Dedham, and needless to say none of us were very impressed with the refs last night....esp. that brutal call on Moore at the end of the game

Ugggggly loss vs. the Oil on Thursday. I hate losing to Chiarelli - lol. This was probably the worst game in the Cassidy era. The defense was awful and I thought Rask looked terrible...They need to beat Toronto, Tampa and the Isles...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
B's won ugly but a win is a win. They definitely have periods of being loose with the puck. That said, Marchand went into beast mode in the 3rd period and that line was pretty dominant. Hopefully they can win at least one of the next...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
Liked the game, but only saw the entire 1st period and pieces of the 2nd (too many recordings on Wednesday night, thankfully not too many B's games fall on this day). Still shocked that Stafford cost a lot less than Stempniak (or vice...

B's did what they needed to do after a pretty bad game in Ottawa. They came out and blew the Wings doors off which is what they should've done. I'm liking the pick up of Stafford even more. He definitely adds to their offense and...

Nice dav!! Yes - huge game for the B's. I'd love to see them sweep these next 3 games (it's plausible). Stafford was very good in his first game. I liked his game. Definitely an upgrade on the 3rd line. Quader dodged a bullet there...

Big game in Ottawa tonight. Hopefully they keep on a roll, liked Stafford's game against NJ. Going to miss the game though, will be at the Game of Thrones concert at the TD tonight!

Well, second loss in the Cassidy era. Overall, I thought they played a very good game at least. I didn't like the goalie interference call but that's always a judgement call so it differs from ref to ref. Hopefully they'll grab the...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
I totally agree dav - I like the deal. I think Stafford can definitely help - big body who can shoot that does improve the team for cheap. The B's don't need as many picks now due to the amount they've taken the last couple of years...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
So Sweeney made a deal I can actually like a little bit. A 6th for Stafford (possibly bumps to a 4th based on % of games he plays and B's winning a playoff round) is not exorbitant either. Jimmy better get used to popcorn, but I see...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
Liles; Belesky; Nash; Moore all can be traded I think. Moore would be the only one I'd be somewhat sad to see go (though I do like Belesky he hasn't done much). They may as well trade Morrow too as it looks like he's never going to see...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
Liles and Beleskey out for tonight, which could be for possible trade deals.....who knows? I'd move Liles, as he could probably help a team that has better D structure. Not so sure on Beleskey, since he's been hurt and not sure if he's...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
B's are playing well. I had the same concerns about the defense pinching but it has really been a non-factor from the defensive standpoint and has helped the offense considerably. I do hope they move Liles. There's some talk about...

Missed the win in LA, but caught the last 2 periods of the Dallas game. Offense looks to be really clicking, and the pinching D hasn't cost us as much as I feared when Cassidy took over. Hoping Liles playing over CMiller is to get him...

Yes - the B's played pretty well. Considering they are only one of four teams to win after the bye week, I'm not going to complain. That was a great play for the game winner. I stayed up and am still paying the price now - lol. My...

Thought they played well against SJ, though I only caught the first 2 periods. They did a good job holding SJ to that one flukey bounce goal to Marleau, though I did get nervous while they were trading chances during a 5min window during...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
Well, B's come out after their break and play a pretty solid road game vs. San Jose and come out with two points. Hopefully they can keep winning. As teams have been catching up in games, the B's have been fortunate in that no one has...

Right - it's Ground Hog's day. Montreal has those pieces that Claude likes: great goalie and stud D-Man. It remains to be seen how much different than they are under Therien as those two I think like similar systems with defense first...

Weird part is that the Habs have done this dance before in 2003, firing Therien and hiring Claude to replace him
