Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
Krejci gets signed to a 7-year deal. Wish the AAV was a little lower, but it's not like they overpaid either. He would have gotten more from some team needing a center (Leafs anyone?).

Hey Dav,I agree with you on the salary cap as it will continue to creep up.  I'd give that money to Toews but I'm not so sure about Kane (due to his life style).  I like the invite to Gagne - I think it is low risk and high reward.  Plus...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
Bruins have invited noted B's-killer Simon Gagne to training camp on a tryout....could be a low cost solution on the wing, though he's not the right shot that we need. Hawks couldn't come to terms with BC forward Kevin Hayes, who is now...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
It may not be as bad, as I've heard that next season the big TV deal in Canada (from TSN to Rogers) will add those revenues to the cap. So if the cap goes up another $5mil per team, and team like Chicago would still have $54mil towards...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
Agreed Mr. Frau. The salary cap is to protect the owners/GMs from themselves. I'm not sure what the Black Hawks really could do there. I think if I had to choose, I'd have kept Toews and let Kane go. $10.5 for both will impact that...

Wow...PK gets 9 million a year for eight years. Letang's contract looks a little better in comparison. With the twin 10.5 mil given to Toews and Kane, things are getting out of hand again. The owners will be over-paying huge for stars...

Ahhh - that makes sense.  I would imagine it would be a drag trying to sell multiple tickets if you can't go.  Hopefully the B's make some sort of move prior to the start of preseason...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
Probably cutting back somewhat, as my cat got sick and vet bills were high. It's more just a case of me only reserving 3-4 games and then filling in as needed, instead of 8-10 and filling in. I may still end up going to 20 games, but...

Yeah, sorry to hear you are cutting back on games, as well, dav. I am waiting on that trade, too, Dax. Be interesting to see if they get serious about Evander, or if it is all just smoke from idle prognosticators (like...me). Pens'...

Are there really, truly any Panther fans?    Actually, the Panthers made some decent moves this off season.  They'll be improved this year.  As for the B's, I'm still waiting for a trade.  It's coming and I think it will be somewhat big...

Bruins have made some major moves this offseason.....ok, just signing some of their own free agents (not named Iginla)....and chris breen! (for Providence). Still have 4 RFA's left - Krug, Reilly Smith, Fraser, and Warsofsky. 3 of those...

Hey, Dax, Not a lot of info on the wrist injury. He denied he was injured all through the playoffs - you would expect any player to deny injuries, as it seems like an excuse and you might get targeted - but it was a little bit of a...

I'm OK with trading Marchand for Kane.  I think there's more skill with Kane (less "grit" perhaps though).  Marchand shines on the PK though but the B's seem to have enough guys that can do that.  From what I've read, Kane wants out of...

Re: Guy Lafleur présenté par Viggo Mortensen  (reply)
For Kane, the deal would almost necessitate Marchand to be included as Kane is a LW and trading Lucic doesn't seem to make sense (i.e. better off with both him and Kane). I'm thinking to do that deal we'd have to send Marchand, a top...
