Thor and John Carter strike simultaneously, smashing the last fool to the ground.
*End of Combat*
The short fight demonstrates the skill of Olaf's band of reavers. You catch your breath and examine the strange men. The glowing ice-masks covered their milky eyes - some sort of visual enhancement? The glow is perhaps a kind of algae applied to the ice. On their bony chests are crude tattoos that seem to depict a...seal? But one with fangs, and claws on long flippers...The bodies have no treasure. Their weapons are almost too crude to use.
You hear no more barking, only a far droning that is probably the wind. Gudmund carefully scouts ahead to where the barking men appeared. There is a T-intersection here, with one route heading to the port side of the ship, from whence the men appeared, and the other to the starboard. Gudmund sees that the bear tracks head to starboard. Wolf tracks are very faint, but head in both directions. There are no human tracks heading to starboard. He returns to his companions.
Each character gets 1 xp.
Cheyne becomes visible.
If anyone wants to make a skill check of any kind at this point, describe what you are doing and roll the dice.
Combat - we did not get much of an opportunity to explore dodge or counterattack, but we covered the other basic differences between LAW and Melee. Do you want to adopt a reaction to injury rule (fall down on 8 hits, and/or -2 DX on 5 hits)?
When ready, you guys need to decide to follow the starboard or the port hallways.
