I like what I see and I like the whole plane of molten skies. Very nicely done. But I also have this other setting called Wilderlands of High Fantasy. Now, I've never been one to shy away from making changes to products I use. I do that all the time. So, I'm thinking two great products how can I make them work together. Now if you read the full background of Wilderlands, it has a long history and the Markrabs left some people on the planet when they left, some of who went on to become the houris of today. So, maybe you buy into that part of the background and maybe you don't. However, it gets me thinking, instead of having the demon lands in the south filled with demons types (what Markrabs or decendents? What are they?) I thought it would be interesting to consider having one kingdom Filled with Djinni types and one with Efreeti types. And they war on each other. I like the creation story that goes with City of Brass. I think the flavor of it blends nicely with the Mycretions. So, maybe, just maybe, there is a link between the Green Emperor and the City of Brass. Perhaps he is making deals with the Efreet and perhaps providing slave labor to them. Anyway it is another possible explanation for part of his power. I haven't decided if I want to do it this way, I'm just thinking out loud. StoneFist Last Edited By: Stonefist 05/08/08 15:32:20. Right now I'm planning on doing a hex exploration and political game up to level 12 maybe, so the City of Brass is not going to make an appearance. I'm still interested in hearing how you weld the two together. Inspiration. Good. To be honest, I've been looking at using some Ancient Kingdoms: Mesopotamia for my temples and ruins instead... Currently running Empire of the Ghouls and The City of Brass, and playing in The Shackled City Adventure Path, Echoes of Heaven, and a Burning Wheel game. Need a simple Campaign Wiki for your game?

Instead of having the demon realms to the south inhabited by demons at war with each other, there is a kingdom of Efreet and a kingdom of Djinn. And the Green Emperor of Viridistan worships the Sultan of the City of Brass, rather than Aman Bog. He frequently sends him slaves from his empire to work in the Brazen City. In return he gets help from the Efreet. Meanwhile, the Mycrecians, who are monotheists, worship their one God Mycr. Since this is kind of a cross between a Jewish and an Ismlamic God, it fits nicely into the storyline of the City of Brass. So, the mycretians would be worshipping the same god as the prophet in the module. So, if the party does manage to unseat the sultan, then things could change a great deal on the prime material plane. The green Emperor could fall and be replaced by a Mycretian, as they stand to gain power from this change. Well, it has potential for a lot of twists and turns. It would help to run the campaign out of Viridistan, rather than the city state. Do you own that Judges Guild module? Also, your idea for using Ancient Kingdoms: Mesopotamia sounds interesting. As my campaign will be about the destruction of Lenap, I might have the evil ruler of Lenap be a worshipper of the Sultan. I haven't decided yet. Currently running Empire of the Ghouls and The City of Brass, and playing in The Shackled City Adventure Path, Echoes of Heaven, and a Burning Wheel game. Need a simple Campaign Wiki for your game?

However, there are quite a few good products on DrivethroughRPG, that could flesh things out a bit if you ever wanted to get into it. Most of these are reasonably priced. Just do a search on Judges Guild and that should bring them all up. However, most of them are for map 5 which has the city state in it (they flesh out sections of that map somewhat). Since you plan to play in Lenap, you can pretty much do whatever you want. The tie in with city of brass that you mentioned sounds interesting, though.
