And am slowly making my way through it. There are some incredible things in it so far. I thought for a second Mr. Baker snuck an Eberron thing in there, but it's devilishly different (and will be great fun to use, if my players read the books)
I'm only up to the E's right now. It's a lovely item, well worth the cost.

There are some really, REALLY awesome ideas in this book. Plenty of room to devise many campaigns from. Good stuff.
FAVORITE ARTIFACT SO FAR: The Petrified God. Just awesome.Image

Very glad to hear it. Image
That said, you may have noticed that the last two spells in the Hearth domain somehow got cut during final layout. Image They're supposed to be:
8th: antipathy
9th: foresightAri Marmell

Picked mine up on Saturday. Saw it on the rack when I walked in. Made a b-line(?) right for it and snatched it up without question. The only thing I can say is...
THIS BOOK IS KILLER!!!!!!
You know a book is great when you read through a book taking notes about ideas for a game, and you look down and you have a ton of things written down!!!!
I'm hopefully kicking off a campaign in the next month. I thought I had a good story, but it's back to the drawing board. I'm putting this baby to use.

Finally finished it. The stories are worth more than the items. I do question the 'bloodhound' though. That doesn't look like a bloodhound to me.
Not sure which is my favourite. I do like the Petrified God, and the ringed shield. The Cauldron is nice. Especially the comment in the notes. Ari, you do realize that they were books before the movie, yes?
I do have some questions about errata though. The Mystic looks like a good class, but what can they flurry with? and is it correct that they can flurry only while encumbered?

Oh, I know. I've read 'em. But I figured the comment was funnier when referencing the movie. Image

As stated, they can flurry with any light weapon with which they are proficient. They can flurry in light armor or lower.Ari Marmell

Good. I hated that movie.
Well the entry says that they can flurry only while encumbered. I knew (hoped!) it was a typo. What is their starting gold? I do think I like these more than clerics. Not as powerful, but Me Likey!

Yep. Should say unencumbered. Image

I did too, when Rhiannon wrote it up. Sort of the divine version of the bard, if you think about it.
In fact, the starting gold of a bard probably wouldn't be inappropriate.Ari Marmell

And this thing is beastly-sized. I can't wait to really dig into it. There's so much to digest, a quick skim does nothing!
Another grand Necro product to put on my shelf.
