It will in time. People like creating for D&D and will under the GSL. I did read the GSL, its a cup half full/cup half empty deal. If your not up to the risk thats fine but the hobby is not you, and there are others who will rise to the ocasion.

Im sorry then. And Im not a super fan boy of 4.0. I find some of the current system to basic and lacking to realy provide an in depth world environment experience. But I like the core system and it has the ability to evolve like 3.5 did. I have my first game today using a small dungeon based on the design rules in the DMG. This will give me and the party a feel for the game from both sides of the dm screen.

I hate English. Please repeat in a more understandable language, like Klingon.

But, I hate every game. At the same time, I like to play them. None of them do everything I want, or how I want... which is why I have the power of the DM red pen. I think they used to call that "rule 0." However, I see no point in playing a game where I have to change near everything about it, which, from what I have seen of 4e, just to make it resemble what I would like.

Its not that we hate 4E. What's going on here is that people like Pale who want to write 4E material are nervous about the GSL. Its got some hinky stuff in it that could be used to seriously screw over the writer. The key word here is "could".

Actually, Treebore is correct. I have many systems under my belt that I adore: Blue Planet, Deadlands, Shadowrun, Werewolf: the Apocalypse, Ars Magica, BESM d20, Legend of the Five Rings (1st Edition); Pendragon, Call of Cthulhu, RIFTS, AD&D 2nd Edition, Rolemaster (all three versions), SpaceMaster: Privateers, D20 Modern, Cyberspace, Feng Shui, and D&D 3.x. I've been a gamer for 30 years; much of the ongoing negativity has nothing to do with gamers. This board was much better under just 3.5, now its faded.
