WOTC has released it's (free) 4E conversion guide for the Elder Evils 3.5 book which has stats for my old fave Zargon from B4:The Lost City

What is the quality of DDI Dungeon?

I was a subscriber to Dungeon for many years, but let it lapse after Wizards pulled Paizo's license. I don't play 4e (we switched to Pathfinder). But I have been really curious about the Dragon and Dungeon that are part of the digital initiative. For those of you that like 4E and are part of the DDI, what is your opinion of the 4E Dungeon adventures?

What are your favorite pieces of art from Wotc's 3.x era DnD books?

One work of art really stands out for me:

The cover for Tome and Blood. It's a very dynamic piece of art, and it is very much DnD. You actually get an illustration of a group of adventurers facing off against a monster (a balrog in this case). I also love that it portrays actual DnD spells being used (mirror image, for one). I think it's just a very cool pic.

Bill Slavicsek announces DDI exclusive Classes and Races

Today in Ampersand Bill Slavicsek announced that they would be releasing exclusive classes and races through DDI.

This month on the 15th the Revenant will be released and in September the Assassin.

So I got my copy the other day. I like the content from what I can tell thus far and think my players will enjoy the product.

So what do you get?
A new build for Bard that focuses on ranged weapons and attacks. A new Swordmage build (haven't read it though). Two new Sorcerer builds, Storm and Cosmic. Open Grave is an excellent book! One of the first 4E books (other than the core 3) that I would consider a "must-have", unless you don't like undead for some reason.

The book is all about undead. It starts off with a small section of fluff - I found it very inspiring, there's a Death Knight detailed here that gave me a very strong Glen Cook-style dark fantasy vibe.

Next up is a very large section of adventures featuring undead, a few adventures per tier,...

Why Do 4Eers Take It Personal???

It seems like every thread I read where someone is critisizing 4E, others seem to take it personal.
Do those that enjoy 4E feel the need to not only defend their perceived merits of the game, but also seem to take critisism about a game as some sort of personal affront?

Is this true about other things and I have just missed it?
I have heard critique of C&C, and though I have agreed on some term, and disagreed on others, I never took the critique...

3.5 the ultroloth gets a CR boost and more HD

As promised, I'm posting my results of increasing the ultroloth's HD to increase its CR from 13 to 18. I also improved its weapon a bit to make it more in keeping with its higher CR. The monster still remains pretty squishy with an AC of only 21, so I'd recommend using some of its treasure value/wealth to give it bracers of armor and maybe a ring of protection as well.

I'm not sure what the policy of posting statblocks for non OGL monsters is, so I'm just posting...
